"Wahoo"

These fish are among the top predators of the open ocean and are capable of explosive speed.  The bodies are made out of curly maple, which naturally mimics their tiger striped pattern. The head and fins are hammered and welded bronze.  I feel the mixing of wood and metal in this piece lends itself to portraying the power and elegance of these fish. (7’6”)
